OUR STORY
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been fascinated by travel. To me, there is nothing more fulfilling than traveling to foreign lands, eating new foods and meeting people from different cultures.
Seeing the world has always been a goal as well as an inspiration for me.
Yet, like most of you, I spent almost all of 2020 in lock down.
The pandemic changed our lives in a profound number of ways. But always the optimist, I did find a silver lining to being stuck at home.
I looked inward – to my family, to my community and to the beauty all around me. And I learned to better appreciate the land, the culture and the people of my home town. That inward journey gave me an idea - one to pay tribute to some of the things I know best.
I’ve always been a fan of travel posters and postcards. As a child, I’d look longingly at vintage illustrations of the Eiffel Tower and felt connected to a city thousands of miles away. I adored the National Parks Project art and dreamed of one day looking up at giant Redwoods and dipping my toes in the blue waters of Crater Lake.
Thus, Neck of the Woods Outfitters was born.
I aimed to create art that invokes the soul and aesthetic of the many places I’ve called home. Whether it be Georgia’s humble small towns, historic landmarks or natural beauty – Neck of the Woods is a celebration of home.
